In my work I explore the relation of the public with the intimate aspect of the habitat, whether it be the city, the apartment or the room, through the traversing of the individual, in a mapping that creates a personal geography. Using different media from film and video to sculpture and embroidery to re-interpret mythologies, narratives and spatial relics, I’m trying to evoke associations made valid in the contemporary.
Considering notions of the shell, the shelter but also the idea of escape vehicles and investigating the notions of the private, the intimate and the political construction of desire, I am creating charts and devices that address the memory and aim to render the imaginaire as experience of the everyday.
