In my artistic practice I research the intersection between contemporary art and politics. Understanding the situationist derivé in the urban landscape as a tool to detect the burning issues of a society, I'm developing an artistic method combining artistic intervention in urban space, documentary video, photography and drawing. Sometimes I use methods of historical and social research, I conduct interviews, collect documents, stage debates. Since 2004 I document and work with the emerging emancipatory movements of Roma in Europe and I have developed together with my partner, Rena Raedle, several artistic collaborative productions and projects with Roma and Roma artists. We came to a working method that would be sensitive towards stereotyped images of Roma and reflect the problems lying in the production of an artwork about and under the harsh conditions a Roma person might live in.
